James is an associate with Charney Lawyers whose practice involves a broad range of civil litigation, with an emphasis on class actions, labour/employment disputes, commercial litigation, and personal injury matters. Prior to joining Charney Lawyers, James articled and practiced at a leading labour/employment boutique in downtown Toronto, where he assisted or appeared on matters before a variety of adjudicative forums, including the Ontario Court of Appeal.
James received his Bachelor of Arts, Honours, as well as his J.D. from Queen’s University before being called to the bar in 2018. During law school, James worked as a caseworker at the Queen’s Law Business Clinic, where he provided legal services to small business owners, not-for profit organizations, and start-ups. As a law student, James also worked as a research assistant and researched international trade agreements/disputes.
In his free time, James enjoys traveling, board games, and stand-up comedy.
